The British Menopause Society carried out a survey and found that "45% of women felt that menopausal symptoms had a negative impact on their work and 47% who needed to take a day off work due to menopause symptoms say they wouldn’t tell their employer the real reason". Therefore it is important that employers ensure that there is right support and a menopause policy in place to help reduce the number of working days lost due to menopause symptoms. Putting this in place will help the business to save money by reducing sickness absence and staff retention.
We provide managers with menopause awareness training face to face or online. This training equips managers with information and knowledge about menopause, how to support employees with menopause, reasonable adjustments for employees with menopause and signposting. We can also help managers to develop or write a menopause policy.
Our menopause training is delivered over a 3 hours interactive workshop and this is suitable for managers. We also have a 30 minutes basic menopause awareness course which may be more suitable for HR consultants, team leaders and supervisors.
